Course Description
De-escalation requires more than good communication—it requires sound tactics and decision-making. Building upon the principles of ABLE and ICAT, this practical course teaches officers how to apply de-escalation techniques in real-world encounters without compromising officer safety or tactical advantage. Through body-worn camera footage, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants will learn practical strategies to safely resolve volatile situations while making legally and tactically sound decisions.
