After 13 years, it's rare that there's a class that is not only informative, but has immediate practical applications. This one definitely makes a difference!
De-escalation by far is not a new concept but this class is the first of my experience to call it an outcome versus a tactic. In the event of an immediate threat use of force is still required but at the end of the incident everyone will still need to deescalate back to “normal” operating mode.
This was a great class! Even as a 10 year officer I walked away with many things to help me in the field.
