Proper Patrol was an excellent class. Dakota Cook was extremely knowledgeable and related case law and legal terminology to daily patrol duties which made it easy to absorb and retain. I learned a lot on his explanation of reasonable suspicion versus probable cause when performing traffic stops. I learned a lot more in depth about what to look for while being proactive. This class gave me a push to want to be more proactive in my work and fired up that passion to do more. I highly recommend this class to officers of all levels.

The Proper Patrol Tactics class was informative and well-structured. We covered case law, probable cause, and reasonable suspicion, then closed with an important discussion on officer wellness. Instructor Dakota Cook was knowledgeable and made the material personal and easy to relate to real-life patrol work. Overall, it was a great reminder of both sound tactics and self-care in the field.

Very good class. This class was more of an introduction course I felt like. The instructor was very knowledgeable over the material and passionate. I would like to see more on body language and street survalence for a patrol officer.

This class is highly informative and has taught things that tenured LEOs in my agency did not know. As a rookie officer, it has given me more motivation to be proactive because I've learned more of what to look for. I highly recommend this class to any and all LEOs.

I really appreciated this class and the info in it. Lots of examples to use and case law. Dakota was very knowledgeable and kept the class engaging. I only felt the slide show was a little all over and could possibly be organized better.

I recently attended the Proper Patrol class, and honestly, it was one of the best training experiences I’ve ever had. The instructor was amazing — knowledgeable, down to earth, and really focused on helping us become better out on patrol.

The class went beyond just the basics. It taught me how to think more proactively, improve my awareness, and make better decisions in real-world situations. I left feeling more confident, prepared, and professional in the way I approach my job.

Overall, Proper Patrol truly made me a better police officer. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants to grow in this career and take their patrol skills to the next level.
