Benny Tirado, a retired NYPD Homicide Detective, spent 21 years with DHS Homeland Security Investigations after his retirement from the NYPD. He investigated human trafficking within the US and in foreign countries where trafficking organizations were operating in the US. Mr. Tirado has interviewed trafficked victims, family members and has interrogated prolific traffickers. He has worked with many local, state, federal and foreign law enforcement agencies in his professional endeavor to combat trafficking in persons. His extensive and unique knowledge and experience has made him a highly sought after lecturer on human trafficking.
