About Corporal James Wheeler (Ret.)

Corporal James Wheeler (Ret.) served with the Pennsylvania State Police beginning in 1994. During his career, he worked as a Patrol Trooper, Vice and Narcotics Investigator, Criminal Investigator, and most recently as a Corporal with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Tactical Intelligence Unit in Jonestown. He has extensive experience conducting and leading undercover operations, physical surveillance, wiretap investigations, and takedown operations. He has executed numerous search and arrest warrants, developed confidential informants, and conducted interviews that resulted in significant arrests, convictions, and intelligence gains. Corporal Wheeler has also played a key role in statewide intelligence programs, including the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Security Threat Group inmate debriefing initiative, cultivating sources both inside correctional institutions and on the street. He has also served with the Joint Terrorism Task Force and as a liaison to the Regional Intelligence Center in New York City, facilitating communication between multiple law enforcement agencies in major investigations. Since 2008, Corporal Wheeler has instructed with Homefront Protective Group, specializing in physical surveillance, narcotics debriefing, undercover operations, and gang identification. He continues to train law enforcement professionals nationwide in advanced investigative and surveillance tactics.
