Beginning his career in 1993, he quickly advanced from patrol to detective, where his investigative skills led him into high-risk undercover assignments and eventually a position as a DEA Task Force Officer. During six years with DEA, he played a key role in dismantling major trafficking organizations, seizing large-scale shipments of cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, weapons, and millions in drug proceeds. Promoted to sergeant in 2008, Randy supervised specialized units including K9, interdiction, and narcotics, while also leading professional standards investigations. He later returned to head the Narcotics Unit, guiding complex federal cases and mentoring detectives until his retirement in 2021.Now an instructor with Homefront Protective Group, Sgt. Osburn teaches courses on surveillance, confidential informants, and narcotics case development, delivering practical, case-driven training that emphasizes officer safety and operational success.
