Detective Dean “Dino” Cardinale. is a 28-year law enforcement veteran with the Fresno Police Department, currently assigned as a DEA Task Force Officer. He served 10 years in FPD’s Major Narcotics Unit, leading over 300 drug investigations and one of the founders of the Fentanyl Overdose Resolution Team (FORT)-a multi-agency task force with DEA and HSI. FORT has investigated more than 200 fentanyl cases and secured over 70 federal prosecutions. Dino is a court-certified expert in fentanyl overdose deaths and confidential informant operations, author of FPD’s CI and Fentanyl response policy, and a frequent trainer for agencies across the country. His work has been featured in the Emmy-nominated ABC documentary “Killer High: The Silent Crisis”. A recipient of the POST Excellence in Instruction Award, he is also a featured trainer for the California Narcotic Officers' Association.
