About Sergeant Joe Cruzado

Sergeant Joe Cruzado, NYPD-ret, during his career at the New York City Police Dept, he served in numerous plainclothes enforcement units such as Anti-Crime Unit (both as a PO and Sgt) the Gang Squad (both as a Det and Sgt) and the NYPD/ATF Firearms Task force as a Sgt TFO. During his career he conducted and supervised numerous wiretap investigations into violent street gangs and narcotic organizations. He has been part of hundreds of undercover operations both as an investigator and supervisor as well as cultivating informants. Sergeant Cruzado is also experienced in Executive/ Dignitary Protection in both the municipal and private sector including government officials and Corporate CEOs. During his tenure in the Firearms Task Force he supervised and participated in dozens of investigations into Officer involved shootings. He has trained hundreds of Law Enforcement Officers on street gangs and has conducted training at the international level, developing street enforcement and investigative methods for numerous Police Department overseas. He is considered an expert in this field. As a Supervisor of the Gang Squad, he was responsible for the planning and execution of hundreds of no-knock search warrants and tactical apprehensions.
