About Jennifer Gonzalez

Jennifer Gonzalez is a 14-year veteran with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. She started her career in the Corrections Division and was then transferred to the Community Policing Unit. Lieutenant Gonzalez is currently assigned to the Training Division, where she assists in developing new in-service classes such as Cultural Diversity and Procedural Justice for Deputies within the office.
Lieutenant Gonzalez is a proud Puerto Rican from New York City who has been calling Baton Rouge, Louisiana, home since 2006. For her career, she has earned several awards, including the “Heart of Law Enforcement” award in 2018 from Governor John Bel Edwards' office, for her commitment to her community.
