About Nancy Sulinski-Steffens

Nancy’s extensive background as a Crime Scene Investigations practitioner and instructor, served her well as a fulltime IPTM Staff member. With nearly 20 years employment with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office in the Tampa Bay, Florida, prior to working full time with IPTM, Nancy’s acquired knowledge and experience translated very well into the IPTM Classroom having worked the full gamut of criminal investigations from property crimes to all manner of violent crimes against persons. In August of 2021 Nancy made the decision to return to fulltime practitioner in the field of Crime Scene Forensics accepting the position of Forensic Manager for the Orlando, Florida, Police Department. Her love of teaching and coaching up others within the realm of criminal and forensic investigations continues as she now returns to the IPTM classroom as an adjunct IPTM instructor and subject matter expert.

Mrs. Sulinski-Steffens’s teaching background runs the spectrum from training sworn and civilian agency personnel, law enforcement academy recruits at the Pasco-Hernando State College Police Academy, and academia presentations at University of South Florida, Saint Leo University, and Keiser University, and fulltime IPTM Staff Instructor and Course Coordinator. Nancy has developed her expertise in all areas of Criminal Investigations to include the handling of all manner of evidence, crime scene documentation, advanced processing techniques for the development of latent prints and bloodstain patterns, Forensic photography, court proceedings, and major case investigations. Nancy is professionally credentialed as a Crime Scene Analyst: International Association for Identification; CSI Proficiency Certificate: IPTM/UNF; Crime Scene Certificate: St Petersburg College; Bachelor of Applied Science: St Petersburg College; and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration: University of South Florida. Nancy currently serves as the Florida Division International Association for Identification (FDIAI) 3rd Vice President.
