About Ward Holton

Ward Holton began his law enforcement career with the Georgia State Patrol in January 1993 and currently holds the rank of Sergeant First Class. Mr. Holton has been a member of the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team, since May 2000 and is stationed in Valdosta. The S.C.R.T. is a thirty-five man team which predominately investigates prosecutable fatal traffic crashes throughout the state. He has investigated over 2,000 fatal crashes.

He became an adjunct with IPTM in 2003 in which he taught the three crash reconstruction courses: At-scene, Advanced and Reconstruction. In 2006, Mr. Holton began instructing the Commercial Motor Vehicle Crash Investigation course for IPTM. Through that, he conducted a number of vehicle inspections and tests. In 2008, Mr. Holton began inspecting Commercial Motor Vehicles for GSP under the North American Standard Inspection protocol. He assists with the training of the five levels of reconstruction for G.S.P. along with trooper school crash investigation. Mr. Holton holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Valdosta State College in Business Administration (B.A.) and is a Georgia State Certified Reconstructionist and ACTAR accredited (#2333).
