About Patrick Allison

Patrick Allison started his Law Enforcement career in July of 1996, as a police officer with the NYPD. Pat served in patrol and in the traffic unit while with the NYPD. In April of 2005, Pat moved to Florida where he worked at the Ormond Beach Police Department as a patrol officer. In February of 2006, Pat was hired by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office (VSO) where he is currently employed as a Senior Deputy on the Motor Unit.

Patrick Allison joined the Institute of Police Technology and Management (IPTM) adjunct staff in May of 2015. In 2019, he accepted the role of Co-Coordinator of the IPTM Motorcycle Instructor Course working together with the very talented IPTM team of Adjunct Instructors who provide this training. In 2023, Pat accepted the Coordinator responsibilities over the program.

Through his 27 years in Law Enforcement, pat has many training certificates in relation to Traffic Homicide Investigations (THI), police motorcycle operations and dignitary escort training. He is a regular competitor at Police Motorcycle Rodeos throughout the state of Florida. Deputy Allison is also an instructor for police motorcycle operations at the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, and a firearms instructor.
