About Jerod Metcalf
Officer Jerod Metcalf is an 18-year veteran of the Wichita Police Department and currently serves on the Property Crimes Response Team (PCRT), which was recently recognized as Task Force of the Year by the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI). Throughout his career, he has served in Patrol, Information Services, and Community Policing, as well as in part-time roles as a Defensive Tactics Instructor and a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT). In 2023, Officer Metcalf was named Crime Prevention Officer of the Year by the Wichita Crime Commission. His commendations include a Bronze Wreath of Valor, four Bronze Wreaths of Merit, three Officer of the Month awards, 15-Year Safe Driver and Perfect Attendance awards, as well as multiple Certificates of Commendation. Officer Metcalf earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in General Studies from Wichita State University in 2013.
