TFC Dore’ began his career with the Lafayette Police Department (LPD) in Lafayette, Louisiana in August of 2013. He served three and a half years in the Patrol Division, answering calls for service and conducting proactive patrol functions.
After serving with LPD, in November of 2016, TFC Dore’ continued his career with the Louisiana State Police. In January of 2019, TFC Dore’ was assigned to the Criminal Patrol Interdiction Team as a K9 handler, at Troop I, in Lafayette, Louisiana. His specific area of responsibility is to identify, apprehend and dismantle various criminal organizations who exploit his jurisdictional highways for the furtherance of nefarious purposes. Those crimes include, but or not limited to drug and contraband smuggling. TFC Dore’ is a twelve-year law enforcement veteran. Throughout his tenure in Law Enforcement, He has made a number of arrests for various smuggling attempts, as well as located hidden compartments commonly used to smuggle contraband. He has received training in his field that totals approximately 500 hours of instruction specific to his field of work. In addition, He receives annual in-service training to remain current.
In April of 2025, TFC Dore’ was assigned as a Task Force Officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Lafayette Post of Duty, assisting and initiating criminal cases resulting in Federal Prosecution in the Western District.
TFC Dore’ is the Team Leader for the Troop I Criminal Interdiction Team, coordinating efforts and intelligence to identify and remove criminals from the roadway. His goals are to share his knowledge and experience with fellow law enforcement officers that are willing to learn.
