About Chris Hansen
Sergeant Chris Hansen began his law enforcement career in 2006. Chris is currently assigned to a Training Unit overseeing the Use of Force program of his large metropolitan agency. He has a considerable amount of patrol experience working an inner city district, as well as time in the Code Enforcement unit, prior to his promotion to Sergeant. Throughout his career, Chris has spent time as a mobile field force officer, a Bicycle Rapid Response Team member, an FTO, and is an active Use of Force instructor. Prior to law enforcement Chris was employed by the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
Chris has more than 20 years of experience as a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and holds the rank of Black Belt at Alliance Jiu Jitsu. Throughout his years training, Chris has competed and trained alongside many high level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners.
