About Marcus Beddor

Marcus Beddor is a first-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Ishmael Bentley at M-Theory Martial Arts in Minneapolis. Marcus started training when he was 13 years old and quickly realized jiu-jitsu was his calling. As a professional grappler, Marcus has made his mark as one of the sport’s top light-featherweights, competing in the pro division and earning gold medals in numerous IBJJF tournaments.
Marcus teaches at M-Theory Martial Arts and is known as a detail-oriented instructor who loves answering questions. He’s also Tom Menton’s jiu-jitsu coach, bringing elite-level technical expertise to the STORM Training Group network. Through his website Lucid Jiu Jitsu, Marcus creates instructional content designed to help students understand the patterns and connections that make jiu-jitsu more approachable.
Marcus is available for private lessons and brings extensive competition experience from the highest levels of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His competition background and technical teaching ability make him a valuable resource for law enforcement defensive tactics training.
