Description
This course moves beyond outdated, traditional interview techniques and focuses on what actually works in today’s environment. Officers will learn how to build rapport, read human behavior, and influence outcomes from the very first point of contact through formal interrogation. Whether during roadside encounters, narcotics investigations, or high-stakes criminal cases, students will develop a structured, ethical, and legally sound approach to communication that strengthens cases, enhances officer safety, and improves investigative results.
Students will gain a deeper understanding of the criminal mindset, including why offenders lie, how deception is used to avoid consequences, and how to overcome those lies by identifying the motivations behind them. This course goes beyond simply asking questions. It teaches officers how to recognize behavior, adapt communication strategies, and guide conversations toward truthful and actionable information. The goal is simple: communicate more effectively, build stronger cases, and get results that hold up in court.
