Description

Most crimes are solved by talking to people. This 1-day course shows officers how to get reliable information and the truth through rapport, not pressure. The instructor has more than 24 years in investigations, works cases in Colorado today and knows Colorado law. The class is taught through real cases and real interview video, with a rapport-based method backed by research on 878 hours of real interrogations.

What your officers will learn:
- Interview vs. Interrogation: why officers fail, and questions that draw out information
- The Science of Rapport: why rapport, not coercion, produces reliable information
- The TAC Framework: Talk, Admit, Confess, from first contact to the closing statement
- Miranda Without Shutting the Door: rights advisement that doesn't shut the subject down
- Reading the Room: verbal and non-verbal indicators of stress and deception
- Themes and the RPM Formula: Rationalize, Project, Minimize, a face-saving path to the truth

Who should attend: patrol officers, detectives and investigators of any rank.

Instructor: Rich Rodriguez, Founder & Lead Instructor, Polished Badge.
