Description
A two-day Internal Affairs series. Each day also stands on its own as a one-day course. Day 1, Navigating Internal Investigations, covers the legal requirements, procedural standards, and real-world challenges of conducting fair, consistent, and legally defensible administrative investigations, including the mistakes that can undermine an otherwise valid case. Day 2, Medical, Fitness for Duty, and Employment Considerations, gives a practical framework for investigations and personnel actions involving medical conditions, fitness for duty, disability, leave, substance use, behavioral concerns, and performance. Both days emphasize documentation and decisions that can withstand arbitration, litigation, and administrative review.
Designed for: Supervisors, command staff, and internal affairs professionals.
Tuition: $295 per course or $500 for both days.
Dates: May 11-12, 2027, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.
