Description

In today's law enforcement environment, surviving a violent encounter is only the beginning. Whether responding to an active shooter, officer-involved shooting, domestic violence incident, or other high-risk event, officers may be required to provide immediate lifesaving medical care long before EMS can safely enter the scene. In these critical moments, the actions taken during the first few minutes often determine whether a victim survives.

This comprehensive one-day Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course provides law enforcement officers with the knowledge, confidence, and hands-on skills necessary to manage life-threatening injuries in hostile and dynamic environments. Developed specifically for law enforcement operations, the program emphasizes practical medical interventions that can be immediately applied while maintaining officer safety and tactical awareness.

Through realistic, scenario-based training, participants will learn to rapidly assess injured victims, prioritize life-threatening conditions, and provide effective medical treatment under stressful conditions. Officers will develop proficiency in controlling massive hemorrhage, managing penetrating trauma, performing patient movement and evacuation techniques, and selecting the appropriate medical equipment for operational use.

The course includes extensive hands-on practical exercises covering tourniquet application, wound packing, chest seal application, rapid patient assessment, casualty movement, and tactical evacuation techniques. Participants will also learn how to effectively integrate lifesaving medical care into law enforcement operations while balancing tactical priorities and scene safety.

Upon successful completion, participants will earn Stop the Bleed® certification and leave with the practical skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving care to fellow officers, victims, or themselves when every second counts and advanced medical care is still minutes away.

Very good class that was thorough and answered any questions we had. Went over how to address a wound in each area of the body and which medical equipment to use. Only thing they didn’t mention or go over was a head wound.
