Practical Access to Victims’ Rights

Rights for victims and co-victims of crime have been formalized in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the federal government. These rights are available throughout multiple stages of the justice system, but the obligation to ensure access to those rights starts when crimes are reported to law enforcement agencies.
