Great class that accurately depicts real life scenarios. After this class officers WILL have better verbal skills which will benefit in both proactive patrol as well as everyday life.

The course was clear and understandable for all levels of law enforcement to comprehend. Instructor was concise and verbal and added real life scenarios outside of law enforcement to show that we have to remember that we are still dealing with human beings.

It’s a good class to learn how to professionally and correctly respond to the public who find it entertaining to bother law enforcement. I do wish there were laws to protect officers in these situations since the public is doing it only to annoy us & cause trouble for law enforcement.

There was a lot of focus on cultural difference which took up more than half the class. The emphasis on actually detecting dishonesty seemed like an afterthought and was rushed. Instructor mentioned “Evading Honesty 1.0”, which sounds like it covers the desired topic more thoroughly.

Very important topic. The second half was good. The morning portion of perception is unnecessary. This could be condensed into a 4 hr block. More how to protect officers after the fact as well.
