Informative

Excellent for me as a new supervisor

Really enjoyed this class. The instructors have current knowledge of inner workings of police units and career ending choices.

The instructors were extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of police supervision. Many real world scenarios were presented in support of the topics covered.

Course provides good insight on the development of a first line supervisor.

This is my second time attending J. Harris Training. Again, this course did not disappoint and it was more informative than the Supervision Course that is offered at our county police academy. J. Harris goes a lot more in depth on what a Supervisor should know on his or her shift. What decisions to make, how to communicate with your officers, know your police, etc. I would recommend this to anyone who is soon becoming a supervisor.

Great class, great networking experience. Taught by those in the industry without the fluff. Learning objectives met without an instructor using the time to showcase his ego.

Good class. Expected a little more on how to be an effective team commander, but the case law part was informative.

Great class overall. Working together with different tactical teams from across the state is very beneficial and helps open your eyes to different tactics and ways of doing things.

Criminal vs non criminal barricades and dealing with EDPs really got the wheels turning

Lt. Casey Long was a great instructor. Taught in detail and kept the class engaged throughout. The class was interactive and had everyone involved which is different from other classes. Would look forward to taking more classes in the future.

Capt. Bloodgood was a phenomenal teacher. He was well versed in the material and made the topics interesting. He kept the classes attention.

Too ICS focused. Already attended ICS 300 & 400. iCS is important and definitely needs to be understood but felt like too much focus was on ICS then specific examples of critic incidents and tips on how to handle them. The 1 hr movie at the end was brutal. Understand what they were trying to illustrate with the breakdown but that could’ve been done in a 10 minute chopped up video.

The course was very informative and taught by obviously competent and knowledgeable instructors. All of my expectations were covered in the curriculum and additional topics were covered as certain issues and discussions arose during class. I will certainly be recommending this class to others and looking to attend additional classes put on by J.Harris Academy of Police Training.

This class was extremely helpful and informative. The information can be directly applied and will assist in bringing growth/stability to our department. The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable. This program is excellent.
