Shawn’s class is mind blowing! He corrects any misconceptions regarding religious beliefs and thoroughly explains the nomadic cultural highjacking of religion for political agenda. He goes into great detail where the radicalism started and how for centuries it had allowed terrorist organizations to indoctrinate followers foreign and domestic to carry out attacks on innocents. He gives you to tools to make conversations and decipher someone’s ideology to identify potential national security threats. The information you will get here is not available anywhere else and needs to be experienced by someone who actually lived it.

Overall a great course on how the psyche is developed for terrorist groups and how they indoctrinate others to join their cause. The course has a large section dedicated to history and then ends with how these details apply to law enforcement.

This course was equal parts history and ideology, all to help understand the mindset of terror extremists. The information provided was engaging and easy to digest, though this is definitely going to need two or more days to completely understand and comprehend. Great class!

Learned deception from terrorist is very different than anything else that I have ben trained in.

this was a very educating class. lots of knowledge was given and it truly opened eyes to understanding a terrorist mindset. it went over some of the things you need to look for and also understanding the cultural background to fully understand it

Absolutely mind blowing course. The detail and backing of this course with real world knowledge and experience is out of this world. The depth that this course goes into is standalone and cannot be compared to anything that I’ve ever been exposed to. This course should be a standard in law enforcement in today’s world and not only law enforcement but military and other agencies to open your mind as to how we have gotten to the place we are in our world and how to dissect and figure out how to move forward in dealing with counterterrorism. Instruction is phenomenal due to his upbringing and knowledge from childhood to adulthood. Wish the course was longer because it was like drinking from a fire hose. I could sit and take this multiple times and continue to gather information to be better prepared for counterterrorism.

This class explains a different point of view for law enforcement. This course explains the point of view of the Middle East and shows what to look for when encounters mules & martyrs on traffic stops. All law enforcement officers should take this class to have at least the minimal understanding of a martyr.
