Description

Course Overview:
Experience a hands-on training program teaching investigators how to identify, preserve, trace, and leverage cryptocurrency and digital financial evidence in criminal investigations. Students will investigate real blockchain activity, conduct OSINT and attribution exercises, and work practical tracing scenarios using ESTOC’s custom Law Enforcement only training token (EXT) and hardware wallets provided during class. This controlled training environment allows students to perform live wallet transfers, token swaps, and cash-out exercises without risking real funds while building practical investigative confidence.

Prerequisites:
- ESTOC Advisors - Fundamentals of Cryptocurrency for Law Enforcement / (Intermediate knowledge and experience with cryptocurrency investigations)

Session Topics:
- Identify and document cryptocurrency transactions using blockchain explorers.
- Learn how target wallet addresses for serving legal process and suspect attribution.
- Find wallets before you have a wallet using OSINT and attribution techniques.
- Perform live wallet-to-wallet crypto transactions using ESTOC training assets.
- Perform live crypto transactions, swaps and exchange cash-out exercises.
- Analyze laundering style movement and layered financial activity.
- Participate in a Red Team laundering exercise to see how criminals use crypto.
