Description
Does your agency maintain a dedicated space for the temporary holding of arrestees? Are you in compliance with mandatory training regulations?
Temporary holding cells are inside almost all law enforcement buildings. Still, few are aware that Title 15, Section 1024, of the California Code of Regulations requires continuous professional training every two (2) years for anyone who operates as custodial personnel. This includes all those who directly interact with arrestees, as well as the supervisors of staff members who have direct contact with them while they are held in a dedicated space for temporary detention at a law enforcement or court holding facility.
21 CLETS, LLC offers an 8-hour class covering:
Jail operations
Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA)
De-escalation
Bias awareness
Liability
Emergency procedures
Minimum jail standards
Incarcerated persons segregation
Suicide prevention
Juvenile procedures
We designed this class to be interactive while providing the most up-to-date information on regularly changing legal requirements. Our class offers exercises and guidance on what to watch for in your facilities and how to be as prepared as possible.
