Great interdiction class! Highly recommend.

This is one of the best classes I have attended so far. No death by PowerPoint, and constantly up beat instruction while being able to understand and perceive what is being taught. Instructors are great and share a lot of awesome knowledge. Definitely recommend to attend this class if available to.

Instructors are passionate and knowledgeable about interdiction. It restores hope in the profession to see someone with 31 years on the job still being pro-active.

This course completed change my outlook on what I do on a daily basis. This course lit a fire in me to get into my community and make a change by removing drugs from the road.

1. Managing the First Impression (MFI)- This model is unique to ACE IT and covers the tactics and countermeasures smuggler's and criminals use to influence law enforcement's perception of them. Once exposed to this tactic, its comical how easy it is to spot in use. We think its funny, but it probably is use successfully on the un-trained officer.

2. One-on-One Q&A w/Prosecutor- This is one of the things I was most excited about prior to attending the class. I have never seen or heard of another training company doing anything like it. It was very beneficial to hear a prosecutor's impression on interdiction and his tips.

3. Report Writing/Articulation- This also seems to be skipped in most interdiction trainings. Topics covered include common factors Defense Attorney's attack in suppression hearing

I have known Al and Bauer for 10 years and have worked with them on various cases. I have seen firsthand how they apply what they teach. I have attended several classes from various companies and can say this is the best class I have attended. They not only teach legal and correct tactics but teach how to articulate what you are seeing in the behaviors of those involved in criminal activity and explain why someone is exhibiting those behaviors. I strongly recommend anyone looking to get into interdiction attend this class. If you’re an experienced interdictor, this class will greatly add to your tool belt. You won’t be disappointed!

I attended a 2-day course and an online course in 2021. Bauer and Al are excellent instructors with experience and perspectives that you can trust and have stood up in federal court. Ever had something explained to you in a training that was great information, but hard to remember or didn't stick the way it should? Bauer and Al's Managing the First Impression (MFI) training gives you an easy model to remember and articulate how criminals will attempt to manage your perception of them upon initial contact. I still remember Bauer reiterating "forced, unsolicited, and unrelated" information, and explaining each of those key points in detail and in a way that is easy to apply roadside. I've literally mumbled under my breath on a stop, "This guy is totally MFI'ing me right now." Once you learn it, apply it on your stops, and see it firsthand, it will stand out every time! Some courses try to teach you everything and do an average job. Bauer and Al focus on interview and MFI, and nail it!
