About Rob Eccleston

Rob is originally from New Bedford Massachusetts and has lived in New Hampshire for over 24 years. He has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 24 years and they have two daughters, Sydney and Alexis, and two French Bulldogs, Titus and Samson. Prior to moving to New Hampshire, Rob received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island, where he also played college baseball.

Rob began his career in law enforcement as a Correction Officer for the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office in Dartmouth, MA from 1998 – 2001. Rob and his wife moved to the Keene, NH area in January 2001 when he was hired by Keene PD. Rob attended the 125th New Hampshire Police Academy. Rob worked as a patrol officer for five years before moving to the Swanzey Police Department in 2006. Rob spent the rest of his 19 year police career with Swanzey PD until his retirement on April 30, 2020. Rob’s a third generation police officer preceded by his father who retired after twenty four years and his grandfather who retired after thirty years of service both from the New Bedford, MA Police Department.

Over Rob’s career, he served as Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Field Training Supervisor, Corporal, Sergeant and finally Staff Sergeant. Rob served a total of twelve years in a supervisory role. He attended several law enforcement leadership courses, to include FBI LEEDA’s Supervisor Leadership Institute, Command Institute, Executive Leadership Institute and Granite State Police Career Counseling Leadership Development
