Absolutely outstanding course!
View ClassI highly recommend this class. While it is a female class by name, it was really just a firearms class that happened to be all female attendees. It was a relaxed environment with no ego. We were all there to learn and shoot off some rounds. The instructors were knowledgeable and encouraging. Our typical firearms training for in service is just about qualifying… this training is about being fast and violent so if you’re in a fight for your life, you’ll win. We all need training like this. So thank you Rich (and Tom) for putting this on.

View ClassJosh is an incredible instructor. Front to back, this class was excellent. The course is designed for those who may be out of practice and serves to wake those skills thought lost. If you’ve sat in an office or none public position and find yourself needing to re-learn how to win a gun fight, come see josh. This class was a great refresher on skills and mindset.
I highly recommend this and any other class. Training saves lives!
Don't take this course if you aren't dedicated to learning and improving your skill set and gaining a LOT of knowledge about RDS. Great course and great instructor.
View ClassThe team at DSA understands that everyone learns differently. With respect, they nurture the novice shooter and push the learned. I have taken multiple classes with this group and each time walked away with new ideas and concepts on how to present, cover, conceal, and defend myself and my castle. Before my first class, I personally had a great fear of firearms, but after 16 hours of guidance, my confidence and attitude regarding pistols changed. These are humble teachers, with a unified goal of making you feel safe and prepared. And while one class does not a master make, with each session they present abundant firearm defense skills and safety handling techniques for you to take home, practice, and improve.
View ClassI found DSA through a friend who invited me to join him for the ACP level 1 course. I was completely new to handguns and was a little nervous about what to expect and if this would be the right fit for me.
I cannot say enough positive things about the DSA team. Safety was the #1 priority for everyone – that was crystal clear. I was amazed at how the team was able to personalize the hands on experience to my skill level while providing opportunities to learn more as I observed them and other more advanced shooters in my class.
Not only did I learn a great deal, but my shooting improved incredibly from beginning to end. If you are willing to take the first step to try and learn something new, Marshall and the DSA team will meet you more than halfway to give you a top-notch and challenging experience, while making you feel safe and comfortable throughout the class.
I recently had the privilege of completing COMBAT CARBINE with Marshall and Billy, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The instructors demonstrated an exceptional level of expertise and professionalism, ensuring a safe and controlled environment throughout the entire program. The curriculum was thoughtfully structured, covering everything from firearm safety and proper handling techniques to marksmanship fundamentals and tactical shooting drills. The training facility itself was well-equipped and maintained, allowing for a comprehensive hands-on learning experience. The instructors’ patient and engaging teaching style fostered a positive learning atmosphere, and their individualized feedback greatly enhanced my shooting skills. Overall, it was an invaluable opportunity that exceeded my expectations, equipping me with the knowledge and confidence to responsibly and effectively handle a firearm. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to improve their marksmanship abilities.
View ClassI recently had the pleasure of attending DSA’s combat carbine class and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived at the range, it was evident that this was going to be a top-notch experience. The knowledgeable instructors and comprehensive curriculum combined to create an exceptional learning environment for all participants.
The instructors were highly skilled and passionate about the class with an emphasis on participants’ safety at all times. Their expertise and ability to effectively communicate complex concepts made learning enjoyable and accessible; this class will be more beneficial if you already have pretty developed competence with a carbine. They fostered a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and empowered to ask questions and seek clarification.
An aspect that stood out was the personalized attention given to each shooter. The instructors took time to assess individual strengths and areas for improvement for all.
I had the pleasure of attending ACP Level 1 on June 23-24 in Bennett, Nebraska. The course was taught by Marshall Luton and Jeremy Snow. Class started with a prayer (which I really appreciated) then a thorough safety brief. The safety protocols were enforced throughout the class and Marshall and Jeremy did a fantastic job of catching any infractions or potential infractions before they happened. I personally have over 240 hours of professional handgun training from various instructors, most of whom are well known in the firearms industry. This was by far the best handgun shooting class I have ever attended. If I had to summarize the overall focus of this class, I would have to say that by far the main point of the curriculum is accuracy. In my experience, accuracy often takes a backseat in pistol training to other things like proper grip, proper stance, or even the presentation from the holster. It didn't here. I highly recommend this course to shooters of all levels.

Any responsible person who carries a pistol and is serious about developing his or her skills definitely must take Advanced Combat Pistol 1 (ACP1). Marshall Luton’s world-class experience combined with skillful effective teaching make this an exceptional training course, perhaps one of the best you can find anywhere. The class alternates between in-depth explanations of a critical fundamental (for example trigger press), followed by carefully planned live-fire drills. Marshall has a eye for subtle errors, which he corrects, always in a positive encouraging manner. His objective is to make us better shooters. For example, when I thought I needed to slow down to reduce misses, he said, “No, that’s not the problem; you need to aim harder.” Our class included police officers, competitive shooters and ordinary armed citizens. It was challenging, but also very satisfying and fun. I took home many valuable pointers that I will continue practicing to take my performance to the next level.
