Informant Operations
Provides law enforcement professionals with practical strategies for developing and effectively managing confidential informants. The course covers informant cultivation, operational planning, management, case debriefs, and techniques for building trust while maintaining control and accountability. Students will also examine how informant operations impact investigations and learn how to clearly articulate their actions and decision-making during courtroom testimony.
Homicide Operations
Focuses on investigative strategies used to advance complex homicide investigations, including active cases and long-term cold cases. The course explores undercover operations, UC tradecraft, investigative strategies, teamwork, and the coordination necessary to successfully execute complex operations. Through real-world case studies, students will examine practical approaches, challenges, and lessons learned that can be applied to homicide and other major criminal investigations.
