Description
**Interdiction Tactics and Cartel Traps have joined forces for an intensive three-day training course covering the complete interdiction process—from identifying criminal activity on the roadway to locating sophisticated hidden compartments used to conceal contraband.**
This comprehensive course combines **Interdiction Tactics' proven approach to proactive criminal interdiction** with **Cartel Traps Hidden Compartment Training**, giving officers the knowledge and practical skills to develop better interdiction cases, conduct more effective roadside investigations, and perform systematic vehicle searches.
Students will receive instruction covering **criminal indicators, vehicle and occupant observations, roadside interviews, travel analysis, interdiction techniques, vehicle search methodology, tooling and tampering, natural voids, dimensional and depth checks, non-factory modifications, electronic and manual access systems, and the identification of hidden compartments.**
The Cartel Traps portion takes students through the vehicle from front to back, teaching officers how to **systematically clear natural voids and recognize concealment indicators** associated with compartments in floors, firewalls, rocker panels, dashboards, center consoles, roofs, trunks, cargo areas, engine compartments, tires, and other commonly exploited locations.
The course concludes with a **full day of hands-on training using actual trap cars.** Students work in teams and rotate through practical stations, applying what they learned in the classroom to identify concealment indicators, systematically search vehicles, clear natural voids, and locate real hidden compartments. Additional exercises incorporate simulated contraband concealed throughout vehicles to reinforce a complete and methodical search process.
Rather than focusing on one aspect of interdiction, this three-day course brings the entire process together **developing the stop, recognizing criminal activity, conducting the roadside investigation, searching the vehicle, and ultimately finding what was designed not to be found.**
Students leave with techniques they can immediately apply in the field and a better understanding of the complete interdiction process—from **initial observation to final discovery.**
**Three Days. Two Courses. One Complete Approach to Interdiction.**
*Training restricted to sworn law enforcement personnel.*
