About Ron Lund
Ronald Lund is a seasoned law enforcement professional with more than three decades of progressive experience in criminal investigations, supervisory leadership, and advanced police management. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to professionalism, officer development, and community safety across southern Maine.
Ronald currently serves as a Sergeant with the Eliot Police Department in Eliot, Maine, where he oversees critical departmental functions and supports both operational and administrative initiatives. In his supervisory role, he collaborates closely with local, county, and state law enforcement agencies throughout Maine and New Hampshire to ensure coordinated and effective public safety efforts. As Training Supervisor, he plays a key role in developing personnel, strengthening departmental readiness, and mentoring officers, while also assisting the Chief of Police with leadership and organizational responsibilities.
Ronald holds an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement Technologies from Southern Maine Community College (1990–1992) and is a graduate of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy’s 90th Municipal/County Basic Police School, where he was awarded the Professionalism Award. In 2024, he completed advanced management training at Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command in Evanston, Illinois, further enhancing his executive leadership and strategic management capabilities. He is also certified in Advanced Concepts in Evidence Management through the International Association for Property and Evidence.
His professional credentials reflect extensive specialization and a strong commitment to continued education. Ronald is an MCJA Instructor in Crime Scene Processing, an FBI Certified Crisis Negotiator, a Certified Crime Scene Investigator through the International Association for Identification, and a Forensic Mapping Specialist. He has completed more than 800 hours of investigative and crime scene processing training and has served as an Associate Member of the Maine State Police Evidence Response Team. In addition, he has shared his expertise as an instructor in Criminalistics and Criminal Investigation at York County Community College.
