Very informative class who is already in a supervisory role, or is contemplating going out for a supervisory position

The course was very informative and taught by obviously competent and knowledgeable instructors. All of my expectations were covered in the curriculum and additional topics were covered as certain issues and discussions arose during class. I will certainly be recommending this class to others and looking to attend additional classes put on by J.Harris Academy of Police Training.

Informative and educational….quality training!

I have attended many training classes over my 19 year Police career. This by far was the top class I have attended. The subject material was very relevant to my position and the instructors were great and very informative.

Instructors were knowledgeable and relatable. Class was extremely educational and felt like an open conversation and every question was was a meaning answer and discussion. Useful course that I confidently will use within my current role and will prepare me for a role as a sergeant.

Very organized curriculum presented in an interesting manner… Lecture can be difficult to keep students attention but instructors did a dynamic excellent job keeping the material interesting. Material is presented in an enthusiastic manner with plenty of real world insight and references

Great team of Instructors.

I’ve been a sergeant coming up on 3 years, and I had to take a supervisory course per department policy. With my prior experience, there was very little new information to me. However, the value of the course for me was that it made me do a self assessment of how I’m doing the job. I’ve strayed from what I believe I should be doing with the amount of administrative tasks I have to do. This brought that to my attention, and I’m going to refocus on the basics of the job.

Was very impressed and feel much better about going into the Sergeant role after this class. Was very impressed and grateful for the instructors.

Regret is not taking it prior to being promoted. Because of this class I have a much better understanding of the liability supervisors take on.

As a newly promoted supervisor, this class assisted in putting in place principals and concepts to continue to utilize and grow with.

Very valuable class. Great to see the steps my pd has taken are in alignment with the best practices. The group discussions between the class and the instructors was the most beneficial. Wish I would have had this class prior to promotion.
