About Sean Grogan
Sean Grogan is a former special investigations detective that spent his career with the Woodbridge, N.J. Police Department. In addition to spending the majority of his career in the narcotics unit as a detective, he was also a K-9 handler and gang investigator. He has conducted countless interviews and has assisted numerous agencies with various types of investigations. As a detective he utilized many confidential informants and executed a variety of search warrants resulting in numerous arrests and narcotics and currency seizures. Sean worked as a narcotics scent detection K-9 team with his K-9 Blade. K-9 Blade performed hundreds of sniffs for various local, state, and federal agencies during K-9 Blade’s years of service resulting in numerous seizures and apprehensions. During his career in law enforcement, Sean received numerous letters of recognition and awards for his service as a narcotics detective and a K-9 handler. He has traveled to Europe for advanced training in facial expressions and other non-verbal communication. Sean has also been certified as a trainer for the Body Language Institute in Alexandria, Virginia. Recognizing Sean’s skill set, he was recruited by and worked for Joe Navarro’s Body Language Academy as a mentor for the Body Language Expert Program. The role of mentor has allowed him to spread his knowledge to people around the world including 4 different continents. He is also a licensed and certified SCAnS (Sixth Channel Analysis System) trainer. Sean has utilized his mastery of non-verbal communication and other techniques during untold encounters with people as a law enforcement officer to conduct countless interviews with people in both formal and informal settings. Traveling throughout the United States since 2019, Sean provides training to law enforcement on non-verbal communication, giving detectives, officers, investigators, and agents the advanced skills that can be used in a variety of settings. Sean’s classes include ‘Unmasking Hidden Facial Expressions’, ‘Body Language for Law Enforcement’, ‘Behavioral Analysis: The Six Channel System’, & ‘Recognizing Pre-Attack Indicators’. He has received a very large amount of positive feedback from many that have taken his courses. Sean has a degree in Criminal Justice from Thomas Edison State University and is a Marine Corps OIFIII Veteran. His book, Beware the Body, gives insight into aggression and aggression detection utilizing body language.

Great information and not death by PowerPoint. Examples were given then video of what was taught to send home the lesson. Great course
Useful class, very applicable to LE
Instructor explaining the pre attack indicators and then follows it with videos really shows what to look for. Having a visual of similar attacks really explains why we look for the things we do as LEOs.
